- There will be a $1500 damage deposit required which credit card hold will be used prior or on check in.
- There will be a 40% non-refundable reservation deposit due at the time of booking.
- The cleaning fee is included in the total price.
- This rate you receive is based on the number of guests specified at online booking inquiry. This number will be confirmed. If the number of guests changes after payment and prior to check-in, the rate will be discussed, adjusted and confirmed in advance.
- Cancellation policy is 60 days notice. We strongly suggest trip cancellation insurance for clients, check with your travel agent, home owners policy, or credit card company for possible coverage.
- Pet policy enforced. If pet is confirmed by owner, then pet fee and security deposit is applicable.
- There is NO SMOKING of any kind allowed inside the home at all. If smoking outside, must be cleaned up and disposed of properly. If smoking does occur in the home, you will be charged a $400 fee for cleaning.
- Quiet time is after 10 pm. No loud parties or get together’s. There is a noise bylaw in Nanaimo no loud noise after 10:00 pm especially outdoors on decks or with windows left open. If noise complaints are issued you will immediately be asked to vacate with no refund for remaining nights booked.
- Renters must be at least 25 years of age to rent any home. Any guests or visitors under 25 years of age must be supervised by the Renter at all times.
- We will remove shoes while in the home to avoid any damages to wood floors.
- If any damages occur from the guest or other guests in your party, or visiting guests, the client who has rented the home is responsible for full repair / costs of repairs. This would be taken from damage deposit if necessary.
- All keys and garage openers must be returned upon check out. If not, you will be charged a re-keying fee or replacement of openers.
- Guest is responsible for their valuables to be secured and not left out.
- Guest is responsible for their own personal safety and their guests and liability as per liability form while staying in the home, or using the beach or facilities.
- If children in your party, please ensure their personal safety with flotation devices if accessing the water. Liability waivers must be signed by all renters and under aged children will have their parents sign and take responsibility for their well being.
- The Office contact numbers are 250-756-4244, 1-877-756-4244, or cell 250-739-1952 and guest is responsible to notify Lakeview Homes of any emergency or if any repair is required.
- Check in time is between (4 –5:30) or by arrangement. Check out time is by 10:30 am.
- The home should be left in a tidy condition. On check out day, please be sure to;
- Throw dirty towels in the washer and start drying (as tight turnover times do not allow ample time for higher drying time items to be completed)
- All trash and recycling must be taken out and we respectfully ask that recycling be sorted into the allocated containers provided.
- Dishes ran through dishwasher, or washed, dried and put away.
- Cleaning of the BBQ after each use is required, there are brushes provided.
- Kindly ensure all lights off and thermostats turned down.
If additional cleaning above normal cleaning required, the guest is responsible to pay any additional cleaning fees at $25 per hour per cleaner required.
- If the Guest does not vacate the Premises after the contract date, the Guest shall, in addition to any liability hereunder, indemnify the Owner for all losses suffered by reason of his or her failure to vacate. Check out time is 10:30am on the departure date.
- Longer term guests consisting of over 4 weeks being (28 nights). We provide a base amount on utilities and have a cap on usage for electricity, heat, natural gas, water, internet, cable, and telephone of $400.00. Any overage will be charged to you. So please be mindful of the temperature in the house during the winter months, do not leave windows and doors open, in addition, and keep lights off when not in the premises. We do have power smart bulbs in the homes; however we are conscious of the environment.
For longer term clients our insurance requires the premises be inspected every two weeks, for clients that have arranged biweekly cleaning, this satisfies the insurance requirements. Please note this is not a residential tenancy and is not governed anyway by the BC residential tenancy.
