Karin

Karin, the owner of Lakeview Homes, grew up in Muskoka, Ontario. Being raised in Cottage Country certainly left its mark on her; Karin is no stranger to the tourism industry. Karin moved to Vancouver Island in 1993, and has since established her business in the tourism sector. A long-time resident of the Island, Karin is familiar with all of its hidden gems, secluded beaches, and best dining experiences. Karin firmly believes that “family comes first” and aims to treat each and every one of her guests as family when they stay in her rentals. You can expect professionalism, kindness, and helpful pointers from Karin and cleanliness, luxury, and all the amenities from her rental homes.

Bobbi

Bobbi was born in Calgary, Alberta, but grew up here on Vancouver Island, where she has lived most of her life.  She has worked at Lakeview Homes since 2010. In the last eight years, Bobbi has been our warm welcoming hostess. She is honored to greet our guests and provide tours, during which she shares her wealth of information about Nanaimo and the surrounding area. In addition, Bobbi maintains our exceptional cleaning standards across our various rentals. In her spare time, you can find Bobbi enthralled in her music; she is an accomplished local musician playing guitar or the organ and singing.  She started composing and writing music at age 15 and has perfected her talents throughout the years. It would not be uncommon to find Bobbi performing at different local events here in Nanaimo.  She has written, compiled, and composed all her own songs, and has released two CDs.  If you are interested to learn more about Bobbi’s music career can be seen here on her website.

Diane

Diane was born and raised in Nanaimo and is proud to call it home. Diane has worked with Lakeview for over four years. She enjoys welcoming our guests and providing them with helpful local information. Diane is bilingual, and shares her native German tongue with many of our German clients. She has a passion for the outdoors, and prides herself in maintaining our beautiful floral gardens. Diane also works very diligently, in maintaining, our exceptionally high cleanliness standards within the homes. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her beautiful family, hiking, boating, swimming, gardening and visiting her friends. Diane wishes you a very pleasant stay and looks forward to meeting you personally.

Kim

Kim, our skilled and very trusted handyman and groundskeeper, has lived in Nanaimo for over 28 years. He moved to the Island in 1990 from Saskatchewan. Kim is a jack-of-all-trades; you can often find him in the shop, repairing or maintaining things in and around the houses. He prides himself on keeping everything running smoothly around the grounds as well as within the rental homes themselves. Kim also helps clients out with whatever they need—be that unloading bags, to providing directions to the local grocery store. In his spare time, Kim enjoys a good round of golf with his lovely wife, Terry. When Kim is not working at Lakeview Homes or spending time with his family, he likes to work on his home, which he has personally built from the ground up.

Kristine

Kristine is our newest addition to Lakeview Homes; we were pleased to welcome her to our team last year. Kristine maintains the homes with her great attention to detail. She’s looking forward to meeting our clients and assisting anywhere she can. In her spare time, you would find Kristine helping others when she volunteers her time in the local community. Kristine enjoys reading, writing, working out (as she is also a personal trainer), and exploring the island with her dog, Rocky.

Michelle

Michelle was born and raised in Newfoundland. She moved to Vancouver Island as a child, and has lived here now for over 40 years, at least 20 of which have been spent in Nanaimo. Michelle has worked for Lakeview Homes for over ten years; she is diligent in maintaining the cleanliness standards of the Lakeview homes. She enjoys the fast paced work environment, but especially likes meeting our guests. In her spare time, Michelle enjoys cooking, spending time with her family and friends, reading and yoga.
