Perfect recovery place! Karin thanks so much for everything!  We sure appreciated your kindness and thoughtfulness, along with the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home.  It was the perfect place to assist with a speedy recovery from recent surgery.  We will be recommending your home to others from Saskatchewan who may be travelling here.  Wishing you all the best! We followed up on some of your “tourist tips” and we were dumbfounded at the beauty of the area Englishman River Falls, the old growth douglas firs on the way to Port Alberni, Coombs etc were all exciting places to visit.  The highlight of the week was our whole whale watching excursion in Victoria,   30-40 orcas’s feeding and playing in the sun and the mother, father and calf migratory humpbacks were soooooo impressive.   Thanks again. Doug M October 2008

I loved our stay here! It was a great way to end our vacation on Vancouver Island. The paddle boat and kayak were lots of fun! Me and my brother would ride over the motor boat waves. Thank you so much for taking us tubing and riding on your boat. We had to decide between the lakes public beach and the tubing! I’m happy that we chose to try it! Thank you so much Karin for your hospitality and wonderful vacation home! This was a great place to stay. A treat for us to have extra bedrooms and bathrooms, plus the house was so nicely furnished. A bonus to be able to use the kayaks and paddleboat. We enjoyed evenings here on the water of Long Lake, after day trips and sightseeing the surrounding area. Our trips included Horne Lake Caves, Qualicum Beach, Englishman River and little Qualicum falls, Port Alberni, Salmon Ladder at Stamp River Provincial Park and Cathedral Grove. Thanks so much for a wonderful home base so conveniently stocked! We had a wonderful stay here at Lakeview. It was so convenient, especially with the babies in tow. Being able to get many of our meals here at “home” meant we had more time to spend with family (especially 100yr old gram!) We were lucky enough to book whale watching when there was a super pod!
